We’re bringing together incredible educators and dancers to create learning opportunities to inspire and support you, and to facilitate classrooms which are respectful of the roots and legacy of Lindy Hop.
Frida Segerdahl started dancing at the age of 5. During her teenage years, she was enrolled in the dance program studying jazz, modern and ballet and more. Since the age of 9, Frida started competing in Double Bugg and Boogie Woogie and although she was champion in both categories, she wanted more. At the age of 15, she attended Herrang Dance Camp and fell in love with the Lindy Hop. In no time at all, he was asked to join the world’s largest jazz dance company, Rhythm Hot Shots. She has performed, competed and taught all over the world.
Skye Humphries was first convinced by his mother to dance the Lindy Hop in 1996, but quickly discovered his own love of social dancing, swing music and the Lindy Hop community. This led to a broader interest in dance and he took classes in ballet, modern and jazz. Since 1999, he has been teaching wherever Lindy Hop is practiced, from national weekends to international dance camps. His involvement in the Lindy Hop sparked his interest in America’s history and cultural heritage, which led him to pursue a degree at George Washington University where he received his Master’s degree in 2007. He currently resides in London.
Bianca Locatelli and Nils Andrén are Lindy Hop and Boogie Woogie dancers, choreographers, instructors and performers with a passion for driving the art form forward and have devoted the last decade to teaching, performing, and choreographing. Their true passion lies in Lindy Hop and Boogie Woogie, two vibrant dance styles that have deep roots in African American culture. They discovered their love for dance at a young age, exploring various styles such as ballet, latin dances, hip-hop, and ballroom. However, it was swing dancing that captured their hearts.
Their paths crossed when Bianca moved to Sweden, and they began performing and competing together. Soon after, they embarked on a performing, competing and teaching career, sharing their passion and vision with audiences and students worldwide. Bianca and Nils’ goal as educators is to create a positive learning environment while learning and understanding the values of the dances.
Korantema Anyimadu is a dance artist and performer born and raised in London. She performed in, co-led and choreographed a chorus line troupe up until 2020. Since then, she has been training with Cookie and her Black Mambas, a collective led by Lindy Hop legacy holder, Angela Andrew. When she's not dancing, Korantema works as a Curator of Anthropology and is a zine maker, usually exploring the cultural experiences of Black women.
Stephen Atemie is a fresh young talent emerging from the new generation of Lindy Hoppers. In 2017, Stephen travelled to South Africa to spend a month working with the charity Sing Inchanga. There he shared skills with local children & young people across their own dance styles and Lindy Hop. Stephen's performance / competition credits include 10 Downing Street, Harrods, Savoy Cup (France), ILHC (USA). His latest projects include organising talks, webinars and advocacy for cultural appreciation within the Lindy Hop/AAVJ communities across the world as a board member for Collective Voices For Change (CVFV).
